Improv for OD Professionals

Using improv to develop the people skills of consultants and clients.

September CODIC Program

A common misconception is that improv is about being funny.  Attend enough improv performances and you’ll realize this is most certainly NOT true.  Improv is not about being funny; improv is about being in the moment with your fellow actors.  “Being present” is the gift improv offers OD Professionals and their clients.  In this program, participants will learn how to be more present through a series of improv exercises that focus on active listening, being authentic, and consensus building. Although this will be a highly interactive session, introverts and extroverts alike will find a safe environment where they will learn how to use improv to develop their people skills and those of their clients.

Presenter: Greg Werstler is the Director of Creative Sales for CSz Business Chicago, the producer of ComedySportz, Chicago’s longest running all-ages improv show.  Greg has been working in theater administration and event production for more than 20 years.  In addition to being an emcee and facilitator, Greg is currently enrolled in the MSMOB program at Benedictine University.
